We had a great time supporting Wreathes Across America on December 16, 2023. This year was warmer than usual and made for a comfortable morning.
For those of you who are unaware, Wreathes Across America is both an organization and a day dedicated to remembering our veterans that have fallen, where wreaths (paid for by the organization itself) are placed on the graves of veterans to honor and remember the sacrifice they made for our peace and freedom. For those who’d like to read more on it, their website is www.wreathsacrossamerica.org
We were honored to play during the wreath placement, and we hope to be able to do so again in the future.
The music we played was a mix of commemorative and festive holiday pieces. The final set was conducted by Courtney Emery, one of our clarinet players and the band teacher at Antioch High. Thanks, Courtney!
